Why the change?

When this merger occurred three years ago, we recognized quickly the difficulty in inviting people to our new campus. The moment we mentioned “Rockdale Baptist” people immediately thought of Conyers. It was always a ten to fifteen-minute conversation explaining that we were a campus of Rockdale Baptist but that we are in Social Circle.

Another aspect of this decision was regarding our desire to identify with the community. Since we are in the area of Social Circle known as “Stanton Springs” we felt this was a natural transition. Everyone in Covington and Social Circle knows where Stanton Springs is located because of the tremendous growth that is occurring in that area.

We believe the name change will be of great benefit to us in the future as we reach out and serve the community.
